CapitalPro Link Lessons

We link up native speakers with foreign language students. It begins when a student completed the payment process. The assigned tutor normally contacts the student within 24 hours and arranges for a first lesson.
Working with the student, the tutor determines the language goals of the student and assesses the student’s language level. Language learning materials and/or textbooks are recommended. During their sessions, both student and tutor work from the same lesson materials. In their person-to-person interactive classes, and as they work through the lesson material, the tutor assists the student with pronunciation, reading, writing, and grammar. Evaluations occur informally as a natural part of regular feedback provided by the tutor to the student.
A lesson lasts one hour (60 minutes). We have found that one hour sesssions, an interval of 60 minutes of person-to-person instruction and interaction, is sufficient for effective language learning, especially when sessions are completed on a regular basis.
The pace and frequency of lessons are somewhat dependent on the student’s particular learning requirement. Some students may choose to take 1-3 classes per week for a few months to get them started with the new language. In any event, regularity is key to learning. Therefore, two lessons per week should be sufficient to maintain the appropriate level of consistency required to absorb the new language. Some students with ample time and/or a business requirement may choose to meet more often with their tutor.
CapitalPro Link is an online language education service. It builds on the best of traditional language instruction, but with the added advantage of a dedicated tutor (person-to-person instruction) while avoiding the cost, time, and logistical inconvenience of traveling to another location.

How Do I Sign Up?

Signing up for a class through our website is done in much the same way you purchase an item on the web. Please visit the Find Tutor page of your choice and follow the prompts.

After You Sign Up

Once your sign-up is complete, our office will introduce you to your tutor, who will contact you via email to schedule your first lesson. During the first lesson (as novice or survivor), your tutor will review the sounds of the language, the alphabet, common expressions, and names of common objects, answer any questions you may have about your upcoming lessons, and assess your professional and personal language goals.
If you don’t currently have a Zoom account, now is the time to set one up.

Before You Sign Up

Yes, please feel free to contact us here if you have any question/s. We will be happy to discuss your goals and target proficiency level. Since your tutor, a native speaker, is in the best position to assess your current level, feel free to take time during your first free lesson to do that assessment and discuss your goals.

Forms of Payment

We accept all major credit cards: American Express, Diners Club, JCB, MasterCard, and Visa. Unfortunately, we do not accept cash, checks.

Our Payment Policy and Paying on an As-needed Basis

Our payment policy requires lessons be paid for (via credit card) in advance of a scheduled lesson.

Yes, or you can purchase multiple lessons at a time. If you purchase several lessons and then determine that you are not able to continue, we will of course issue a refund/credit for any lessons not taken.

Cancellation Refund Policy

Certainly, you may cancel a scheduled lesson or set of lessons that have not been used and request a refund. Most refunds are refunded within 5 business days. Cancellations (and rescheduling) are normally handled through your tutor. Feel free to work with your tutor to cancel or reschedule your lessons as necessary.

Rescheduling/Cancellation Policy

Feel free to work with your tutor to reschedule your classes as needed. We normally expect that a student make a good faith effort to reschedule within a reasonable amount of time before a scheduled session starts.

Note that a no-show for a scheduled regular (paid) session, or one cancelled less than 24 hours before the lesson day/time, is charged at the regular rate. A no-show for a scheduled trial lesson, or one cancelled less than 24 hours before the lesson day/time, will result in the loss of trial lesson. We do understand that a serious unforeseen event may sometimes prevent a student from rescheduling before the 24 hour deadline. Please contact us should your circumstance fall under that category.

Setting Up and Using Zoom

Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool with a local, desktop client and a mobile app that allows users to meet online, with or without video. Zoom users can choose to record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one another’s screens, all with one easy-to-use platform.
To install Zoom now and get set up with your tutor, follow these steps:
The first thing to do, of course, is to register for the service. You can do this either from your laptop or from your mobile phone.
How to download Zoom on your PC
1. Open your computer’s internet browser and navigate to the Zoom website at Zoom.us.
2. Click “Download” in the web page’s footer.
3. On the Download Center page, click “Download” under the “Zoom Client for Meetings” section.
4. The Zoom app will then begin downloading. You should then click on the .exe file to begin the installation process.
Downloading Zoom on an Android phone or tablet
1. Open the Google Play Store
2. Click into the search bar at the top of the screen and search for zoom.
3. Click the green “Install” button. The app will download, and when it is finished, you will know because where the Install button previously was, there will be a green “Open” button. Now you’re done installing zoom on your phone.
Downloading Zoom on an iPad or iPhone
1. Open the App Store
2. Search for “Zoom”
3. Tap “Get.” You will know the installation is complete when the “Get” button becomes the “Open” button.
